As someone who lost their grandmother to a hospital screw up, I'm always fascinated by the trust we put into the medical profession on a daily basis. Sure there are heroes (see: Covid), but also a legion of overworked and exhausted people trying to do their best while the system begs them to make mistakes (see: grandma).
