There's something very fresh about the generational humor in HBO Max's 'Hacks.' It's a show about an aging Vegas standup comic (Jean Smart) and the young Gen Z writer who's hired to punch up her act. That's Hannah Einbinder, who steps in as the next-gen proxy, a hired hand essentially brought on to represent how kids these days digest older folk. But the show is about much more and real-life comic Einbinder does an awesome job playing the role of a witty yet angsty 25-year-old trying to figure it all out.
