In one of the more moving performances from this year, Riz Ahmed plays a punk metal drummer who loses his hearing seemingly overnight in Amazon's 'Sound of Metal.'
How it affects his character's life, relationship and sobriety is a poignant portrait for all to see. Not to mention, the entire film shines a light on the deaf community, hearing technology and sign language in a way that's as touching as it is informative.
The film is a must-see and the super-talented Riz Ahmed is at the top of his game.
