When it comes to film, sequels are never as good as the originals. To be better than a classic (cult, no less) takes conquering a mountain most filmmakers have yet to eclipse. So, when 'Coming 2 America' came out on Amazon Prime Video, it felt good to travel back to Zamunda – to revisit this world, even if the journey wasn't as fresh as the original.
But there were a few good elements that added to this long-awaited film. One was Leslie Jones as the one-night stand hookup that led to Prince Akeem's bastard son. Then there was KiKi Layne as the strong – and strong-minded – sister who did not want to be overlooked as the potential heir to the throne.
