Given the new movement toward social justice taking place in 2020, the odds were long that a show (shot before the pandemic) would so aptly shine a light on police brutality, systemic racism and filter it all through a timely comedic lens that makes you laugh, if not cringe, at its portrayal.
That's Hulu's 'Woke' and one of the supporting actors on the show caught my eye for standing out as best friend of main character Keef (played by Lamorne Morris from 'New Girl').
The actor? Chicago standup comic T. Murph, who plays Clovis, the unfiltered voice of reason. Here's a piece I wrote about the young actor for Casting Networks.
